Lateral Thinking, p 35
Boy, a short turn-around time for getting the correct answer on a lateral thinking puzzle! I guess I should go back to math (spiced in with "historical knowledge" of sorts)!
A woman was born in the Summer of 40 BC, and died two months after her 60th birthday. What year did she die in?There is a real answer to this problem, but I will forewarn you, it does involve a slight "complexity" or "twist"... whatever you wish to call it : )

How kind of you to allow my 2 or 3 other "avid" readers a chance to answer... I wonder if they'll come through? ; )

ps. you need to get some publicity on this site...i can't be the only one playing your game. i think it may just be the sheer volume of blogs that you have... ;) it's confusing.

And The Answer Is:
21 AD - the numbering goes from 1 BC to 1 AD.

Actually, technically speaking (& writing), the numbering goes from 1 B.C. to A.D. 1. The "A.D." comes before the year... although the book I'm getting these from I don't think cares : )
Perhaps you prefer the "modern" notation for years:
1 B.C.E. vs. 1 B.C.
1 C.E. vs. A.D. 1
B.C.E. = before common era
C.E. = common era
B.C. = before Christ (which is an interesting notation considering most scholars believe Christ was born c. 6/5 B.C.)
A.D. = anno domini (which is Latin for "in the year of the Lord")
*N.B. The periods in the above abbreviations can be ommitted depending on the manual of style.

RE: Publicity
Do you have any suggestions regarding publicity? I'm open to any : )
RE: And a not-so-quick comment & a couple quick questions
Different blogs represent different styles or communications, if you will ("An Action Verb" for fun, "Reviews" a little more serious but the main purpose is for reviews only, "The Truth of God's Word" is for a serious reflection on wrestling with Scripture & having resources available, and finally "Stowers' Corner" is the general 'mother blog' that has links to the other blogs as well as my general updates / stories / etc.)
- Having all these blogs (linked off the 'mother blog'), is it really confusing? Or overwhelming?
- Is there a better way to convey this info?
- Wouldn't it be too much if all this was on one blog?
P.S. At some point in time--when?, I do not know--I'd like to get a website. On this website would be pages with content similar to these different blogs (reviews, fun stuff, wrestling with scripture, etc.). When that will come, I don't know, but until then, I'm enjoying the free blog space! : )
